glór is a thriving arts centre located in Ennis, which serves the people of Clare and the mid-west with a vibrant programme of theatre, music, dance, visual arts, film and workshops. glór works with a wide range of promoters, artists, partners and local Festivals to celebrate national, international and local talent, and our Gallery, 485-seat Theatre and 60-seat Studio play host to a diverse range of artists and communities.
In 2019, and in an exciting cultural development for the county, Clare County Council began work on a new County Library & Gallery to adjoin glór, creating a cultural complex that will strengthen Clare’s reputation as a cultural centre, as well as support economic and social activity in Ennis.
glór boasts an auditorium with a capacity of 485 and a studio space that can cater for up to 60 people. The glór foyer is home to the glór café which serves delicious scones, soups, light lunches, desserts & coffee. The café is currently closed but will reopen from September 1st.
